“MK-CNC” by Locatelli Macchine
Innovation and precision are the key values of Locatelli Macchine, the Bergamo-based company specialized in advanced solutions for the woodworking industry. Among the company’s main technologies is the “Mk-Cnc”, a numerical control lathe developed to combine flexibility, reliability and high machining precision.
The “Mk-Cnc” represents a new conception of lathe technology built on the long-standing experience of Locatelli Macchine. Fully automatic and equipped with six numerically controlled axes, the machine has been designed to ensure speed, repeatability and operational efficiency across different production processes.
The configuration includes the “Z” axis for the main slide, the C axis for spindle motor management and angular positioning, and the “A”, “U”, “W” and “V” axes dedicated to front and back working units. Thanks to this structure, the machine can perform complex machining operations with high accuracy and versatility.
The tilted-bed numerical control lathe can also be equipped with several optional automatic devices to increase productivity. These include a multistation tool-holder turret, drilling and centring devices on the spindle, helical milling and grooving units, and a sanding device.
Another important feature is the integration with Osai Numerical Control technology, which includes advanced electronic cam solutions and Iso programming for multiple independent axes. The machine is supplied with dedicated cad-cam software to simplify programming and optimize production processes.
The “Mk-Cnc” offers a maximum working length of 1600 millimeters, a maximum square section in automatic cycle with feeder of 210×210 millimeters, and a maximum diameter with manual loading of 300 millimeters. Fully compliant with Ce standards, the machine guarantees high operator safety while maintaining noise levels below 85 decibels.
