Fanuc America: new investments

17/11/2022

Fanuc America held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction of its new 800,000-square-foot facility on West Campus in Auburn Hills. A “special” ground-breaking ceremony that saw a Fanuc “CRX” cobot, built to work alongside people, at work, assisting company executives with the “ground breaking” of the new facility.

This investment represents our commitment to the future of the US manufacturing industry,” said Mike Cicco, president and ceo of Fanuc America. “Since opening our 460,000-square-foot North Campus three years ago, our business has grown significantly and further expansion allows us to help more customers, large and small, achieve their manufacturing goals.”

A recent study by Deloitte found that over the next eight years there will be at least two million uncovered manufacturing jobs, which is why automation is growing at such a rapid pace,” Cicco added. “Our new Training Academy underlines Fanuc’s commitment to helping companies qualify their employees and keep production running smoothly. This, in turn, will enable workers to improve their career development opportunities by learning how to use robotic and automation equipment.
