Xylexpo 2026 unveils its first conference: focus on timber construction and technological innovation

Xylexpo has announced one of the key events in the rich program of conferences that will accompany the 2026 edition of the international biennial exhibition of woodworking technology. Among the most anticipated appointments for industry professionals is an international conference dedicated to major themes in timber building prefabrication, with a focus on technology, artificial intelligence, automation, and robotics.

The conference, titled “Production Processes in Timber Construction: Efficient, Optimized, Automated”, will take place on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the Conference Area, Hall 18.

Organized in collaboration with Forum Holzbau, an international platform that brings together leading universities and research centers from countries such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Canada, the event aims to explore the evolution of production processes and the new frontiers of timber construction. Forum Holzbau, which in Italy works closely with the University of Trento, has long promoted the dissemination and advancement of knowledge in wood-based building technologies worldwide.

Participation in the conference is free of charge upon registration and will grant continuing professional development credits (CPD) for engineers and surveyors.
