Sicam 2025: good numbers and sensations…

Creativity, beauty and functionality. This is the feeling that captures the mood of the sixteenth edition of Sicam, the International Exhibition of Components, Semi-Finished Products and Accessories for the Furniture Industry, which concluded just a few hours ago after four intense days. It was a great opportunity to experience firsthand the state of the art across the entire supply chain, a sort of “happy island” filled with positivity, optimism and a genuine desire to create and collaborate.

According to the very first data, from 14 to 17 October the fair welcomed 23,818 visitors, representing over 9,300 companies from 113 countries. Italy naturally led the way (61 per cent), followed by a strong contingent from Germany, Spain and China, as well as many participants from Eastern European countries. They were greeted by 692 exhibitors from 33 nations, occupying 19,150 square metres of net exhibition space, essentially the entire available area of the fairgrounds, and representing small, medium and large enterprises alike.

The four days confirmed the fair’s maturity, as shown by the consistent growth in both exhibitor and visitor figures. “For several editions now, Sicam has been an unmissable event for everyone in the supply chain,” commented Carolina Giobbi. “All professionals in the sector come to Sicam, and that is undoubtedly a source of pride for us organisers, although the real credit goes to the strong appeal of all those who choose to exhibit in Pordenone.”

This edition managed to strike a perfect balance between time spent at the fair — four days in which visitors and exhibitors were deeply focused on business — and an increasingly vibrant fuori salone scene full of events and initiatives organised by companies as part of Enjoy Pordenone with SICAM, a project promoted by the City of Pordenone. “The right balance between time at the fair and everything that happens afterwards is certainly one of the key ingredients of Sicam’s success: ideas, inspiration, new visions and future opportunities often arise from informal encounters, conviviality and the simple pleasure of being together.”

A final mention goes to what is becoming a well-loved tradition and something Sicam strongly believes in: this morning, on the last day of the fair, a large group of students from local schools and training institutes accepted the invitation from the Friuli Venezia Giulia delegation of ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale to engage in a dialogue about the opportunity of connecting their future to design and the furniture industry.

The next edition, the 17th Sicam, will take place from 20 to 23 October 2026.
