Saie: the numbers behind the fourth Bari edition

The fourth edition of Saie Bari closed with excellent results. The three-day event organized by Senaf brought together companies, professionals, institutions, and trade associations at the Fiera del Levante in Bari, shining a spotlight on the latest product innovations and the key topics driving the industry: innovation, energy efficiency, digital transformation, and safety.

With 31,728 professional visitors (up 24 percent compared to the 2023 edition), more than 500 exhibiting companies, 80 partner associations, and 147 conferences and workshops, the 2025 edition confirms the success of Saie’s alternating format between the Bologna and Bari venues. This strategy enhances the entrepreneurial and professional fabric of the construction sector throughout Italy, from North to South. The event continues in 2026, with Saie Bologna scheduled from October 7 to 10 at BolognaFiere, followed by a return to Bari in 2027.

“We are proud of the results achieved at the fourth edition of Saie Bari, the largest ever in terms of exhibition space and attendance,” said Ivo Nardella, President of Senaf/Saie – Gruppo Tecniche Nuove. “We brought together in Bari all aspects of the construction world, from design to plant engineering, including building materials, windows and doors, energy efficiency solutions, infrastructure, and digital technologies. We are pleased to have done so with a format that balances exhibition and in-depth discussion, serving as a platform for the presentation of key industry studies and hosting debates with leading figures such as Ance and Federcostruzioni. Saie, in both its Bari and Bologna editions, remains the place where innovation, expertise, and dialogue come together to help the sector reflect on the present and plan for the future. We look forward to taking advantage of the new exhibition spaces scheduled to open in 2027. A heartfelt thanks goes to exhibitors, visitors, and partners whose passion makes our fair an essential meeting point for the Italian construction community.”

Federcostruzioni Report

During a conference held at the event, Federcostruzioni reaffirmed the importance of the construction sector to the national economy. The analysis highlighted a solid and dynamic supply chain, with 3.3 million workers (up 156,000 compared to 2023) and a total production value of 643 billion euros. These figures confirm the excellent health of the industry, as also shown by the Saie–Nomisma Observatory presented during the fair, which revealed a widespread sense of optimism: nearly half of companies (43 percent) expect an increase in turnover in 2025.

Energy Certification Trends

The 2025 Annual Report on Building Energy Certification, prepared by Enea and CTI – Comitato Termotecnico Italiano, showed an increase in the number of more efficient residential buildings (energy classes A4–B), now representing 20 percent of the total, while the share of less efficient buildings (classes F–G) fell to 45.3 percent, down more than two percentage points from the previous year.

The next edition, Saie 2026, will take place from October 7 to 10 at BolognaFiere.
