SICAM 2026: A Truly International Edition

The Pordenone exhibition centre is ready to welcome the 700 exhibitors, 32 per cent of them from abroad, taking part in the 2026 edition of SICAM, the International Exhibition of Components, Semi-finished Products and Accessories for the Furniture Industry. All 20,000 square metres of net exhibition space are fully booked, ready to welcome the thousands of companies that, as advance registrations confirm, will once again travel from around the world to visit SICAM and experience an event that brings together business and meaningful connections, practical solutions and a forward-looking approach.

Over the past twelve months, the SICAM team have worked harder than ever to create a well-organised, enjoyable, practical and effective business event, supporting and encouraging new partnerships. These will give exhibitors and visitors plenty of opportunities to discover and discuss new possibilities during SICAM 2026, taking place from 20 to 23 October.
Among these is the renewed partnership with ITA – the Italian Trade Agency, which promotes Italian businesses abroad and supports their international expansion. This collaboration will bring a delegation of entrepreneurs, buyers, architects and interior designers from Angola, Canada, Indonesia, Mexico, the United States, South Africa and Vietnam to SICAM 2026.

Looking towards markets with promising prospects, a cooperation agreement has also been signed with the Economic Assembly of Uzbekistan, an organisation that promotes the economy of the Central Asian country. Under this agreement, a delegation of Uzbek furniture industry entrepreneurs will visit SICAM in search of semi-finished products, materials, hardware and finishes to help them develop a modern, more functional approach to living spaces.
There could also be interesting developments in relations with furniture markets across the Asia-Pacific region: SICAM has established a promising partnership with FIND Design Fair Asia, an exhibition taking place in Bangkok in November, with the first tangible signs of this collaboration expected to emerge at SICAM itself.

SIDE EVENTS
For the 2026 edition, SICAM has once again confirmed its commitment to hosting events that make a tangible contribution to the business strategies of the companies attending the exhibition. The resulting programme of selected events offers opportunities to connect, gain insights and explore new possibilities, particularly valuable at a time when the furniture and furnishings industry is seeking new directions.

On Monday, 19 October, the day before the exhibition opens, journalists already in Pordenone are invited to the opening event of “Enjoy Pordenone with SICAM”, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the cloister of the former Convent of San Francesco. This year once again sees the continuation of the close partnership with the city of Pordenone, which will be the Italian Capital of Culture in 2027. For the fourth time, the Municipality of Pordenone is organising an extensive programme of after-show activities, events, tastings and gatherings, inviting exhibitors and visitors to discover the city’s history, beauty, culture, food and wine.

On Tuesday, 20 October, the opening day of the exhibition, SICAM will host the Kyiv International Furniture Summit for the second time. Now in its fifth edition, the summit focuses on issues surrounding the reconstruction of Ukraine. At 1:30 p.m. in Sala Zuliani, the “Bespoke Leaders Meeting” will bring together numerous international speakers, including architects, buyers, contractors, international investors and businesses. They will discuss the role of design and the furniture industry in the efforts needed to restore life and dignity to communities and regions, as part of the international “Ukraine: Rebuild Green 2030” project.

Wednesday, 21 October will feature a particularly full programme:
beginning at 11 a.m. in Sala Superiore, where the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM) will hold the seminar “Discover Vietnam: New Business Opportunities in Asia”. The session will explore the economic landscape and opportunities in a country with a long-established, significant and rapidly expanding furniture and interior design supply chain. Participating companies will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of this market and explore its commercial, industrial and investment prospects.
At 2 p.m., also in Sala Superiore, Federchimica Avisa and Catas will present the book “The Surfacing of Profiles and Panels in the Furniture and Furnishings Industry”, a comprehensive guide to adhesive bonding. Speakers will include Fabio Chiozza, coordinator of the Wood and Furniture Adhesives sector within Federchimica’s Avisa Adhesives and Sealants Group, and Paolo Tirelli, director of Catas, Europe’s leading testing and certification laboratory for the furniture industry, who initiated and produced the publication. Other speakers will include Stefano Romagnano (Durante Adesivi), Massimiliano Redaelli (Schattdecor) and Stefano Monti (Bonlex Europe).
At 5 p.m., again in Sala Superiore, the seminar “Discover the American Market” will provide an overview of the US market and its key trends. Drawing on data supplied by the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), it will explore one of the most important markets for suppliers to the furniture and furnishings industry. Afterwards, participants will have the opportunity to meet members of the US trade delegation visiting SICAM 2026.

On Thursday, 22 October, at 5 p.m. in Sala Superiore, a roundtable will address an intriguing question: “What Do Designers Today Look for in Companies Across the Supply Chain?” Organised by the Finiture Green platform, the discussion will bring together industrial designers, architects, and suppliers of services and materials. Industrial products are at a turning point: in a market where offerings increasingly resemble one another, innovation must extend beyond aesthetics. Designers must therefore seek out materials, components and solutions that give products a distinctive identity, functionality and real value. Joining Patricia Malavolti, founder and publisher of Finiture Green, will be Igino Forlin (industrial designer), Luca Tormena (Neadesign), Marco Marin (designer), Francesca Amato (Flow Agency) and technical specialists from Adler.

On Friday, 23 October, at 10 a.m., the final day of the exhibition, Sala Zuliani will host one of SICAM’s established and most lively events. The prestigious partnership with ADI Friuli Venezia Giulia continues in 2026, marking another step in an ongoing initiative to encourage closer and more productive dialogue between education and local industry. The conference will present the results of projects launched during SICAM 2025, developed by students in response to challenges set by participating companies, and introduce the next edition of the initiative. The companies involved will propose new research topics and design challenges for students to explore by visiting the exhibition and meeting exhibitors.

The initiative aims to nurture young talent, encourage the exchange of ideas between education and business, and turn ideas and insights into tangible opportunities for collaboration.
