On June 6th and 7th this year, the 8th Wood-Technology Conference is going to take place in Opatija, Croatia, organized by Wood & Furniture magazine and Wood Cluster Delnice. This conference represents the central event of the Croatian wood processing industry, where its representatives coordinate their outlooks and discuss sector policies and trends, together with the representatives of the forestry sector, academic community, suppliers of technology solutions and the latest furniture production components and semi-finished products, banking sector and government authorities.
Taking into consideration significant consequences which the latest economy crisis left on this sector, the Organizers are expecting an intensive discussion on all current issues. Conference participants will be given an opportunity to get acquainted with the latest technologies at all stages of wood processing. Apart from that, the current technological level of domestic woodworking industry in the context of EU regulations will be analyzed, including the processing of timber and wood waste, and the usage of wood biomass in the production of electrical energy.
Traditionally, the Organizers expect a large number of participants, over 350 members of the wood processing industry, foresters, manufacturers of hardwood floors, doors and windows, furniture, members of wood biomass industry, wood and furniture retailers, suppliers of technology solutions and the latest furniture production components and semi-finished products, representatives of specialized fairs, university and high school professors, and foreign and domestic government authorities. In addition, the participation of specialized associations from Brussels, and partner associations, as well as companies from Italy, Austria, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Slovenia is expected.
