Machine Tools: in Italy leaders met to discuss about the industry future
It was held in early June, “Cecimo Spring Meetings 2013“, the meeting which brought together the leaders of the European machine tool, arrived in Italy from every part of Europe.
At the meeting, Luigi Galdabini, president of Ucimu-Sistemi per produrre has been appointed chairman of the Technical Committee of Cecimo.
Promoted by Cecimo, the European association of the machine tool which owns 15 national trade associations and about 1,500 companies, the four days of work was held in Sardinia, for the organization of Ucimu, the ‘association of Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots, automation and auxiliary products.
Again hosted on the Italian territory after fourteen years, Cecimo Meetings, held twice a year to discuss issues related to the machine tool industry and to support its growth, for the appointment of spring 2013, has been focused on ‘analysis of the issue of training, skills and know-how. Value to maintain and increase future to ensure the sector.
The fifty delegates attended meetings, workshops and panel discussions, led by academics and experts in the field, called to confront the role and content of the professional skills employed in the sector.
On the other hand, the complex international situation and the rapid changes in the technological environment productive, require even greater efforts to European manufacturers, which require skilled personnel to maintain high levels of competitiveness and stretch even more the margin they enjoy, in terms of quality and innovation, compared to its competitors in emerging areas.
