It is with great sadness that we learned of the sudden death of Roberto Tengg. With his death the world of wood, Italian and international, lost one of its most eminent representatives as well as industry veteran.
His decades-long business relationship with the Austrian timber industry has made him an indispensable partner in the meetings market with Italian partners. As a spokesman of the Italian delegation, its market analysis were always eagerly awaited and appreciated by all the representatives. His biggest concern was related to the common promotion of the wood at the supranational level. Under his presidency began the first meetings on the Italian-Austrian cooperation that has given rise to promo_legno, of which he was president from 2005 to 2009.
His efforts to increase the use of wood in Italy and Europe could be summed up in his many positions in national and international associations.
He has worked for decades in the Joint Committee of the Italian Importers (Fedecomlegno) and Agents (Agelegno). In 2005 he was elected Vice President of the European industry Cei-Bois.
