More than 3700 m2 of innovation Made in Biesse on show at Ligna Hannover Hall 25 where visitors will be able to discover the large integrated systems that we supply to the biggest names in furniture production in the world, and also to our automation systems for small and medium-sized woodworking companies.
“In the manufacturing sector in which our clients operate, a process is underway which is being defined by many as the 4th Industrial Revolution. The goal of this revolution is to bring together the high output numbers seen in the assembly chain with the tailor-made value of artisan production. In a world in which those who offer quality and a personalised touch at increasingly low prices come out on top, factories are turning digital: the machines communicate among themselves via automation systems and interaction software, and can imagine the product, simulate construction and carry out tests before it has even been made“, commented Raphaël Prati, Marketing and Communications Director for Biesse Group, on the occasion of the presentation of the company’s new developments at Ligna 2015.
The Ligna trade fair will provide a perfect opportunity to come and see Biesse’s range of large plants for managing integrated industrial production processes and innovative automation systems for small and medium enterprises. The company will be showcasing various machines that communicate with one another via automation and immediate interaction software systems. These solutions are capable of simulating production on a virtual machine while reducing process times and waste.
The Batch One process, which will be on show at Ligna, allows the user to machine different panels in sequence according to specific production requirements, with zero set-up time and maximum production optimisation. The three new Batch One process developments include the “Stream B MDS” unilateral squaring and edgebanding machine, which is ideal for small batches thanks to its exceptional flexibility, the new “NextStep” flexible beam saw with double router, which guarantees the perfect squaring of the component, and the Insider M flexible boring machine, which is capable of simultaneously processing all the faces of the panel in a single passage.
For the first time ever at a trade fair, Biesse will also be presenting its entire range of Selco unilateral cutting machines with integrated loading and unloading solutions, such as the “WinStore” automatic magazines and the “X-Feeder” autoloader. Premium quality machining and maximum production capacity, for highly efficient and customised production processes.
Ligna will also be an occasion for the company to showcase two important innovations in terms of numerical control processing centres. The “Rover C“, the most powerful processing centre currently available on the market, which is capable of processing extremely thick components and highly complex shapes, and the “Rover A FT“, the new processing centre for Nesting operations that can be fully integrated into the production flows.
The company’s numerous recent developments also include the “Vektor CS“: the flexible NC vertical boring machine with an integrated glue and dowel insertion system that allows the user to optimise the time, space and logistics flows of the production system.
Finally the biggest innovation in the smoothing market, the unique new “Opera R” robotic sander, will be presented for the first time at Ligna 2015 – A machine with unrivalled performance. An in-depth knowledge of the market and of customer requirements has allowed Viet to develop cutting-edge technology which offer levels of workability, precision and quality that have never been achieved before in the sector.
Biesse has been investing heavily in the field of software in recent years, with the primary goal of bringing machinery back to a human level. A dedicated team of experts meets these requirements by developing software solutions around the customers’ day-to-day operations, with user-friendly and intuitive interfaces. “bSuite” is a complete suite of advanced software tools, giving all users access to the latest technology. The suite consists of six perfectly-integrated software applications designed to meet every production requirement, including design, programming, simulation, implementation, factory testing and data analysis. If software is the only limitation to a machine’s capabilities, then “bSuite” offers endless possibilities.
This edition of Ligna will therefore be yet another occasion for Biesse Group to demonstrate its ability to offer customers across all relevant sectors an innovative platform which allows them to go beyond product improvement; a platform which spans the entire production process, giving those who rely on Biesse a competitive advantage in the global arena, with enhanced production at lower costs.
