Eumabois: exhibitions in the Fall Season

The international exhibition calendar between September and November 2015 is rich of events dedicated to woodworking technology. Exhibitions are a must-have marketing tool, the only place where customers can “experience” different options, compare, evaluate and eventually submit orders.

Despite the increasing diffusion of alternative promotion tools (social media, virtual exhibitions, open houses etc.), the effectiveness of trade fairs is reaffirmed by the significant visitor flows recorded at the major exhibitions in the most important markets every year.

Eumabois has always promoted a global exhibition strategy, safeguarding the interests of the events supported by the European Federation.

In September, the Eumabois Network will include two events: Wood and Bioenergy in Jyväskylä (Finland) and Lisderevmash in Kiev (Ukraine).

Wood and Bioenergy will be held from 2 to 4 September 2015 at the Pavljonki expo center. The biennial exhibition is Finland’s reference event for the wood supply chain in a key market within the European scenario. According to Acimall (the Italian association of woodworking machinery and tools’ manufacturers, in charge for the Eumabois secretariat), in 2014 Finland imported machinery for a total value of 42.4 million euro, up by 3.9% from the previous year. Such significant flows mainly came from trade with Germany (10.6 million) and Italy (7.1 million). These figures are a good reason for major European industry companies to attend the exhibition.

The International Exhibition Lisderevmash is the best platform for foreign companies willing to enter the Ukrainian market, will be held on September 22-25.

One has to pay attention to the Ukrainian market at this particular time. As a matter of fact, Ukraine will slap a ban on unprocessed timber exports from January 1, 2016 and will re-orientate towards the production of finished goods. And that would mean that more wood processing will be done domestically and more equipment will be purchased.

Exposition of this exhibition covers the full range of technology used in industry and is divided into four thematic sections: WoodMachinery (machinery, equipment and tools for woodworking and forestry), FurniTech (equipment, materials, components and accessories for furniture production), WoodProduct (timber, wood trims and millwork) and WoodEnergy (production of wood biofuels, heating systems).
