This is the perspective behind Mobili Dal Bosco’s decision, a Verona-based company with deep artisan roots specializing in custom furniture, to adopt SmartCabinet, the software developed by Kosmosoft. The story of Dal Bosco goes back a long way, involving fathers, sons, and a passion that has given life to new ideas. “Dal Bosco has a long-standing history that began with my father,” says Diego Dal Bosco, now leading the company. “He passed on to me a love for woodworking and attention to quality. We are a historic company in the province of Verona, which has successfully combined craftsmanship and the tradition of a high-quality product with innovation. Over time, we have evolved, integrating advanced technologies to remain competitive, while always maintaining a deep focus on the product. We do not just make wardrobes, even though they are a strong point for us. We furnish an entire home, from kitchen to living room, offering a complete service.”
“We are going through a generally positive period,” he explains. “We continue to see strong interest in high-quality, custom-made furniture, something that goes far beyond mass-produced items from large retailers. This is precisely our strength: offering a personalized, valuable product. The main challenges, however, have concerned the need to rationalize our production process. Previously, to calculate the price of a piece of furniture, design it, and process requests, we relied on the memory and expertise of a single person, making the process slower and more cumbersome. We wanted a system that allowed us to move from manual management to a structured process, where design was more streamlined and intuitive, and estimates were based on reliable, precise data, so that we could optimize work and production times.”
Is this what led you to choose this solution?
“Exactly. The collaboration with Kosmosoft was born from the need to make design simpler and more intuitive. SmartCabinet allows us to model furniture starting from a drawing, with the ability to immediately visualize the result and automatically manage all necessary information, from the bill of materials to processing times, and even cost and estimate calculation. For us, it represented a real step forward because it provided a more transparent and structured process, and we found in Kosmosoft a partner ready to support us throughout this journey.”
What has been the impact of this transition?
“The impact has been profound. We have achieved a level of precision in production data management that was previously unthinkable, resulting in significant time savings. The most important aspect, however, has been the distribution of know-how. We no longer depend on a single person; the skills have been shared, allowing greater fluidity in processes and freeing internal resources to focus on other strategic aspects of the company.”
Does integrating this technology open the way to new synergies?

Our goal is to go further, integrating systems even more to achieve complete traceability of the product, from design to the final customer. We want to know, with certainty, at any moment, the exact location of every single component in the production process. SmartCabinet is an integrated software solution specifically designed for the furniture industry. Its technological core lies in a parametric approach. Unlike traditional CAD software, where every change requires manual intervention on each component, SmartCabinet bases design on rules and parameters.
