CPM and Olpidürr merge to form Dürr Systems Italy

Starting from December 1st, 2025, Dürr is merging its two Italian subsidiaries, Olpidürr S.p.A. and CPM S.p.A., to create a new company named “Dürr Systems Italy S.p.A.” Operating from two locations (Milan and Turin), the company will employ around 120 people under the leadership of Andreas Hohmann as Managing Director. The merger brings together decades of experience in turnkey final assembly systems with advanced paint and pretreatment technologies, primarily serving vehicle manufacturing. “The new company name represents a strengthening of Dürr’s presence and identity in Italy,” says Andreas Hohmann. “This step reinforces our alignment with Dürr’s global strategy, ensuring continuity and added value for all our customers.”

A unified portfolio for enhanced customer value

The merger will not affect existing contractual terms or services. On the contrary, customers will benefit from a broader service portfolio, innovative and sustainable solutions, and the convenience of a single point of contact for all production needs. Dürr Systems Italy will provide a unified offering that includes consulting, planning and implementation of assembly processes, together with paint technology, pretreatment and electrocoat systems. Dürr’s high-performance technologies, such as the ProFleet automated guided vehicles (AGVs), are used by automotive manufacturers worldwide, enabling flexible and cost-effective production tailored to individual industrial requirements.

The optimized structure facilitates project coordination, reduces administrative complexity and ensures continuity in customer relationships and service quality. Customers can rely on long-term support through preventive maintenance, technical assistance and plant modernization. “We can offer our customers in the automotive and industrial sectors a unique combination of expertise, comprehensive production solutions and reliability throughout the entire production cycle,” Hohmann summarizes.

Dürr also operates another subsidiary in Italy: Verind S.p.A., based in Milan, specializing in robotic technologies and application systems. The company will continue to operate as an autonomous entity under its own brand within the Dürr Group. Verind is a leader in the production of industrial systems for application, ultrafiltration and wastewater treatment, serving customers in both the automotive sector and other industrial fields. In addition, Verind acts as Dürr’s center of excellence for electronic dosing machines and provides technical expertise, engineering services, laboratories and specialized technologies for the application of coating and finishing products on various materials such as metal, aluminum wheels, plastic, wood, ceramics, marble, composite materials and glass.
