Eumabois: elected the new president

At the General meeting of Eumabois (www.eumabois.comth September 2007, Franz–Josef Buetfering (of the German Association Vdma) was elected as the new president for the 2007/2010 triennium.), the european federation of  woodworking machinery manufacturers held in Poznan on 14

Ambrogio Delachi from Italy was elected as the Vice-President.

Niels Erik Lundvig from Denmark and Marcial Paris from Spain were reconfirmed as board members, accompanied by a new appointment, Zdenek Bezdek from the Czech Republic, who replaces Michel Loyet from France.
Jean Paul Balz from Switzerland will continue on as Treasurer.

The friendly and exceptionally well organized meeting took place in keeping with the agreed agenda, taking the decisions that will allow the Secretariat to carry out its tasks over the following months.

Wide appreciation was shown for the work carried out by Gianni Ghizzoni over the recently concluded triennium: the federation has been strengthened by his work and it is now even more united and truly representative of the entire european sector. His work has not only helped to rationalize the international fair system, but has also enabled exhibition cost savings for the many European companies that participate in the various fairs worldwide.

The new president, Buetfering, has therefore asked Ghizzoni to remain at his side within Eumabois, taking on the role of Past President.

The General Meeting approved the calendar of sponsored fairs for 2008, which sees the return of –amongst others – Lesdrevmash of Moscow, Wmf of Peking, Indiawood of Bangalore, Woodshow of Dubai, Aseanwood of Kuala Lumpur and new appearances by Expopromueble of Mexico City and Formobile of San Paolo.
