The number of companies that have suspended their commercial relations with Russia continues to grow. To these has also been added Rehau, the company specializing in solutions in polymeric material for construction, of which we leave the press release published on their website and which has decided to stop its exchanges with Russian customers.
“We have witnessed the development of the crisis and the suffering of the Ukrainian population with shock and great concern. As a company operating in Ukraine, as well as in Russia and Belarus, we emphasize our position:
We strongly condemn the attack on Ukraine and its people.
It is a war against humanity, the freedom of all of us and peace in Europe.
And therefore against the values for which we as the REHAU Group stand with all our sub-groups.
We have decided to suspend our operations in Russia and Belarus until further notice.
Russia in particular, where we have been present for many years, is an important market for us. We hope that the situation will change soon so that we can resume our activities in both countries.
Our priority now is the safety of our colleagues and their families in Ukraine and of those who are leaving the country. We started preparing possible contingency plans some time ago. Concrete aid is underway at various levels:
Through the “Famiglia per le Famiglie” Emergency Aid Fund, which was provided by the company with a large sum to provide immediate assistance, but also to support reconstruction at a later date.
Through the crisis task force, which coordinates support for our team in Ukraine, but also for people on the run. For this we are in constant contact with the local management.
And through an account we created for the donations of our 20,000 employees around the world.
