“Rauvisio”, the range of surfaces manufactured by Rehau, is celebrating its 10th birthday. Presented at interzum 2013, these surfaces represented “…an interpretation born out of the company’s know-how and based on a purist design“, enriching the range of the Rehau Interior Solutions division with another component and subsequently dedicating itself to the development of exclusive collections for a monolithic design.
“The move from edges to surfaces was the natural evolution of a path dedicated to replacing traditional materials with polymers to give its products new functional properties and simplify processing“, the company explained in the press release issued on the anniversary. “The skills acquired in the development of edgebanding solutions – including knowledge of production flows and experience in precise colour management – have also been applied to surfaces and major investments have been made. Rehau has thus succeeded in obtaining a reproducible panel of the highest long-term quality, with true-to-life, distortion-proof colours, so that in 2013, at Interzum, we will be able to present a new finished component, laser-etched and supplied in one piece”.
Ten years in which “Rauvisio” has not “stood still”, but has always had novelties, upgrades and new products in the range. With the ‘Passion for colour’ collection, for example, Rehau has “…defined trends reflecting contemporary interior design“. Product developments also included the “Rauvisio crystal Deep” collection, with its slightly shimmering metallic effect, while the introduction of the “Rauvisio eco.fino” range, with panels made from 98 per cent recycled materials, “…marked a new milestone in sustainability last year”.
