Acimall General Assembly: New Board Members Elected

The general assembly of Acimall, the association of Italian manufacturers of technologies for woodworking and the furniture industry, has elected its new board members for the 2025–2027 term.

Joining the association’s leadership team are Marianna Daschini, CEO of Greda in Mariano Comense; Mario Moretti, Sales Director at Costa Levigatrici in Schio (Vicenza); Pierluigi Paoletti, CEO of Paoletti Energy in Borgo Valbelluna (Belluno); Franco Paviotti, CEO of Metal World in Percoto (Udine); and Gianluca Storti, owner of Storti in Motta Baluffi (Cremona). These newly elected members will serve alongside Enrico Aureli, President of Scm Group in Rimini, and Raphaël Prati, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Biesse in Pesaro. As established by the association’s statute, these positions will be renewed next year.

The election took place during Acimall’s annual assembly, held on Thursday, July 3. The event began with a speech by Enrico Aureli, who reflected on the sector’s current state and on the association’s ongoing initiatives. He stressed the need to launch a new phase of digital transformation, one that goes beyond tired clichés and truly focuses on the core of every technology: the software that drives it. According to Aureli, this evolution must stem from a deeper understanding of corporate priorities, built not only on technical expertise but also on the kind of profound experience and knowledge that will become crucial in an increasingly competitive global landscape.

After the unanimous approval of the financial report, the assembly continued with the presentation of an in-depth study conducted by Mecs (Manufacturing Economic Studies), which analyzed the international woodworking technology market. The report revealed that the sector currently employs just under 10,000 people across 188 key companies and reached a production value of 2.47 billion euros in 2024. Notably, 74.1 percent of this output, amounting to 1.83 billion euros, was generated through exports.

The day concluded with remarks from Riccardo Cavanna, President of the newly established Confindustria Federation of Machinery for Ceramics, Wood, Plastics and Rubber, Packaging and Processing. This federation includes Acimall along with Acimac (technologies for ceramics), Amaplast (machinery for plastics and rubber), and Ucima (packaging and processing machinery). Cavanna took the opportunity to reaffirm the federation’s renewed commitment to engaging in effective lobbying efforts, both nationally and internationally, in all the arenas where crucial decisions are made for the future of Italy’s capital goods sector.
