Koelnmesse Italia: interesting focus on the kitchens market in Germany

Waiting for the next edition of “LivingKitchen 2013“, Koelnmesse Italia organized a workshop dedicated to the Italian producers of high quality kitchen, to offer them a complete and thorough overview of the German market for kitchens.
The workshop, which was held last June 20 at the Armani Hotel in Milan, also saw the participation of Frank Huter, general manager of Amk, the German Association for Trade and services sector of the kitchen.
On this occasion they have uncovered evidence and information of interest to the Italian companies participating. One thing everyone speaks of is already clear: in 2011 alone, sales of kitchens in Germany rose by 9.6 percent compared to 2010.
Building on this positive data reported a high level of market such as Germany, we analyze the type of kitchen cabinets sold, to find that it increased the percentage of sales in high-end kitchens.
In particular, has increased the sale of the kitchens of a value exceeding 10 thousand euro.
And, the number of those whose value exceeds 16 thousand euro is even doubled in the last 10 years.
Regarding materials, we found a significant positive trend in sales for the lacquered kitchens, melamine resin with high quality surfaces: only in 2011 sold more than a third of the kitchens had shiny leaves.
To conclude, it has also made an overview on the status of the production of kitchen furniture in Germany, where competition among manufacturers is very strong and the industry is highly efficient for product quality and service offered to the consumer.
The latter shows a growing enthusiasm for high-quality product, because the kitchen is increasingly becoming a status symbol.
In 2011, the value of the turnover of the German kitchen furniture grew overall by 5.9 percent over the previous year, resulting in increased including employees, a trend not seen in several years.
We can therefore say that in the next edition of LivingKitchen will certainly be proposed products of the highest level dedicated to a particular end user with high purchasing power and can appreciate quality and design aspects that distinguish Italian production.

The next edition of imm cologne and “LivingKitchen” will take place 14 to 20 January 2013.
