- How are you reacting to this emergency?
“In our company we immediately implemented all the safety measures indicated by the health authorities until the complete closure of work activities in recent days. The offices remain active and operational in “home/smart-working” mode while production is suspended. We obviously took care to communicate to all customers with existing orders using the Force Majeure clause as expected in the regulations governing international contracts”.
- What do you think is changing or will change radically?
“Difficult is to predict what will be of our daily past and above all difficult is to predict the timing of this event. Certainly the prevention measures implemented in these days will accompany us for a long time, we are aware of this. I personally believe that this rift has already transformed our companies, and it will also change the way we interact in the markets. At a multi-sectoral level, I foresee a deep transformation of the products that will have to affect market segments and applications that are still evolving. This revolution will certainly also affect woodworking and related technologies”.
- What should the authorities and all of us do?
“The authorities, starting from those political, must have a healthy awareness of the present and support with political actions, also and above all European ones, which will immediately have their effects on the production scenario. We are facing an event that can only be faced with shared international political acts. The issues are those of health care, support for corporate liquidity, the renewal of the actions taken to encourage product innovation, the fiscal and tax respite. All of us taxpayers have a duty to observe special decrees and ordinances issued to deal with this situation”.
