A different open house, an “ideal journey” of a company that has recently pushed the accelerator of its projects: a successful business model. Emotions, products, ideas, industrial capacity, organization, empathy, synergy: so many messages were launched by Working Process during five days of “open doors” in Rivergaro, from 24 to 29 November. This young company, created in 2000, has found a place in the sun with innovative concepts applied to technology for window production.
Over 500 people attended the event, many of them from abroad: customers most of all, but also media, authorities, stakeholder, resellers, agents, partners and suppliers. All equally involved, all gathered to “team up”, to work together to “communicate properly” (as they love to say at Working Process) about the company, its values, its strengths.
Working Process is a modern business facing the future with optimism, but most of all, with a strong project. A company with a big head and a slender body, meaning that today you have to think big and set ambitious goals while remaining lean and agile, able to move quickly and swiftly to be always ready to find and deliver effective answers. “With this open house we have achieved a major result – commented Stefano Schegginetti, Chief Financial Officer of Working Process – namely to host customers we would have never imagined we could get in touch with.We met them, we showed them who we are, and as it normally happens when we have the opportunity to know our prospects better, we received significant evidence of tangible interest”.
“We are creating a cash-flow oriented business, based on “liquid” functions, focused on the safeguard and expansion of knowledge, devoted to high-end research and development, committed to internal and external communications, keen on the development of sustainable growth strategies. All managed using a new-generation IT system”, Schegginetti added. “This system is easy to use for us, don’t forget we are a mechatronic company:with our highly-skilled engineers, we design and develop both the mechanical and the IT portion of our machinery, including control logic and supervisory systems”.
Working Process currently has 60 employees and 12 million Euro revenues, 95 percent from export. The “Exclusive Customers’ Meeting” 2014 offered the opportunity to present the new headquarters, a huge modern 10-thousand-square-meter site on a 90-thousand-square-meter area, a heritage of the Cml Machinery takeover, another well-known brand in window production technology. Less than one year ago, Working Process acquired their “colleagues” and created a strong organization with a comprehensive solution portfolio. But most of all, they merged significant skills, a pack of knowledge and experience based on more than 250 machines bearing the Working Process and CML brands currently in operation all over the world; a clear example of the strategic moves of a company ready to adapt its industrial organization to future strategies and projects.
Since January 2015, Working Process has a new shareholder structure, including Stefano Schegginetti and Massimo Schiavetta (majority shareholders), Francesco Rimonti (former Cml shareholder), the Norwegian distributor/agent Jan Arild Haakon Lied and Ambrogio Delachi, past president of Acimall (the Italian woodworking machinery and tools manufacturers’ association), president of Eumabois (the European federation that gathers thirteen national associations of wood technology vendors) and now also president of Working Process.
Diego Ramacci, Hcl High Capacity Lines sales manager, illustrated the extraordinary operation finalized at the end of 2013, namely the acquisition of the business and brand of Cml Machinery, established in 1983, with all their valuable knowledge and technology in high-capacity lines. “Like many other companies, CML was hit by a serious general crisis that affected the construction industry especially. However, this period of weakness – Ramacci added – triggered a strong instinct of reaction − supported by the determination to never give up, to save jobs, to preserve high-end technology and a know-how developed in thirty years – which helped identify an opportunity:the merger of two companies. So, today, we can say we have the most comprehensive, performing and flexible product portfolio in the market of window manufacturing plants”.
The early results of the merger were displayed at “Ecm 14”, with a preview of the brand new, revolutionary high-efficiency line, a flexible, high-capacity solution that combines Working Process and Cml experience, available starting from 2015.
This project is complemented by a full range of solutions: the dual-gantry working center “Logos Life Evo 2240 BB” for the production of doors and windows of any shape with automatic unloading and impregnation system, and the three-gantry working centers “Logos Life Evo 3445” and “Logos Life Evo 3445 IMML”, characterized by high versatility: the former features automatic loading and unloading, the latter is equipped with “IMLM” loader, Intelligent Multi Level Magazine, ensuring consistent infeed to the working center. Several demos were focused on Working Process’ flagship, the four-bridge working center “Logos Life Evo 4652 LUML” that can manufacture standard and special doors and windows with high productivity levels, also thanks to the powerful automated multi-level loading and unloading system “LUML”.
“We offer a partnership to our customers, a journey lasting many years”, said Massimo Schiavetta, FMS (Flexible Machining System) sales manage and R&D director. “Today we want to open a new season and introduce ourselves to those who still don’t know us or consider us a forbidden dream. That’s not true.We have as many as 18 machinery models with more than 90 possible configurations, from entry-level to fast and efficient variants, divided into four product lines.A comprehensive, high-tech portfolio, that can be tailored to the needs and investment capacity of each company, while ensuring uncompromised quality. Our solutions go beyond everything that has been developed so far, opening up a huge market”.
“We know – Schiavetta continued – that the kind of technology we produce will be the core of a company for the next 10-15 years. So, we decided to make a different kind of value proposition. In a mature market, we offer revolutionary machines that can really combine seemingly opposite features like flexibility and productivity. But we have more than technology:we have a clear strategy, we have passion and determination, we stand close to those who invest with our skills, our decisions, our responsibility and our vision. After all, 80 percent of companies willing to invest in window technology we get in touch with decide to become our customers. This first “ECM” event gave us a big opportunity to tell this story to all our partners”.
The event was attended by public authorities representatives of the civil, political and business communities, as evidence of the strong link between company and territory. The inauguration was attended, among others, by the mayor of Piacenza Paolo Dosi, the deputy mayor and economic development director Francesco Timpano, the mayor of Rivergaro and Confapi president Cristian Camisa, and the Confapi director Andrea Paparo, plus several representatives of banks and local institutions.
The event marked the beginning of a new season for Working Process; the pay-off “Your journey starts from here” applies to all those who decided to take part in “Ecm 2104”.
