Big celebration at Working Process in Niviano di Rivergaro (Piacenza) for the first twenty-five years of a company that has certainly given a strong “push,” as the saying goes, to the world of technologies for wooden door and window production.
We’ve had many opportunities to write about the philosophy this company has brought to the industry, making a significant contribution to a revolutionary vision of wooden frame manufacturing. This approach has narrowed the gap with the dominance of plastic and aluminum by introducing, for the first time, industrial systems capable of competing with the methods developed for competing materials. Just reread the pages we recently published, and it’s immediately clear what we’re referring to…
All these values were on full display last week, from June 16 to 20, during the festive open house, which welcomed over 600 guests. They had the opportunity not only to enter the world of this company, but also to see in action the full range of machining centers offered by Working Process: from the “Logo Life Evo Xs” to the “Logo Life Evo,” all the way to the “Heroes” and the brand-new “Super Heroes”—a genuine giant featuring around one hundred controlled axes, thanks in part to the use of “Sinumerik One” controls, the flagship of Siemens’ production. Siemens, a global leader, finds in the Piacenza-based company a top-tier partner within the wood processing sector.
This technology effectively sets new standards for high-volume production, enabling the manufacture of a component — whether muntin or crosspiece, straight or curved, in the carpenter’s chosen profile — every thirty seconds on average.
Everything is enhanced by intelligent automation systems for loading and unloading, allowing these machines to perform at their highest level. Not to mention all the “supporting” technologies for the machining centers — such as cutting and profiling — managed by Working Process supervisors and thus fully integrated. This is an area where the Piacenza company could soon unveil the first surprises of the next twenty-five years…
The five days of celebration and networking were also a chance to reflect on the past and launch future challenges, first and foremost the doubling of the current production area from 13,000 to 26,000 square meters. This expansion comes with a strong push for employment, expected to grow well beyond the current one hundred employees.
And there’s another major and demanding challenge ahead: going beyond the borders of Europe — undoubtedly Working Process’s main market — to establish a consistent and growing presence worldwide.
