Machine tools: slight increase in the first quarter 2015

In the first quarter of 2015, the index of machine tool orders, processed by the Studies of Culture company Ucimu-Sistemi per Produrre, has registered an increase of 2.2 percent compared to the same period last year. Therefore, the positive trend recorded by the index of machine tool orders of Italian manufacturers, as happened throughout 2014, even in this first quarter, recorded the best performance in the domestic market.
The index of domestic orders, in fact, marked a new increase of 15.4 percent compared to January-March 2014. The index of orders received abroad was stationary (-1 percent).
The data analysis now register an amount equal to 119, 3 (base year 2010 =100).
United States, China, Germany, Russia, France, Turkey, Poland were the main markets of “made by Italians” in 2014 but, finally, Italy has returned to invest in machine tools with the help of the NewLaw Sabatini.
