Sylva Wood returns to Shanghai in June

After a long interruption due to the “Covid-19” pandemic, Sylva Wood Expo, the trade fair dedicated to wood-based materials, is back on stage. The event, scheduled from 24 to 26 June in Shanghai, will involve – as explained by the organizers – almost four thousand visitors.

Supporting the event will be the international trade associations of wood materials: American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), French Timber, Softwood Export Council (SEC), Canada Wood, Thai Timber Association, Malaysian Timber Council (MTC), National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA), China Timber & Wood Products Distribution Association and others.

THE CHINESE MARKET
China is not only one of the world’s leading exporters of wood products, but also one of the largest importers of wood, wood-based panels, furniture and flooring products. According to statistics, China’s exports of wooden furniture exceed imports, with approximately 35.8 million wooden furniture exports in 2021, totalling USD 76.9 billion.
