SCM at Xylexpo 2026: the preview

04/05/2026

The Italian group returns to the trade fair to present its exclusive integrated solutions of technologies, software, and digital services supporting every stage of the production process. A world premiere at the SCM stand: the CNC machining center “accord 500 edge” with edgebanding technology to meet the most advanced processing needs.

SCM confirms its participation in the next edition of Xylexpo, scheduled at Fieramilano Rho from June 9 to 12: an opportunity to discover the latest innovations dedicated to the entire woodworking sector. Inside the group’s stand, in Hall 14, visitors will be able to explore a comprehensive and integrated offering of advanced technologies, software, and digital services developed with a clear objective: to provide companies in the sector with a solid, strategic, long-term partnership to tackle together the challenges of an increasingly dynamic and competitive global environment.
This objective is reflected in SCM’s technological innovation, which at the fair will be represented by an absolute novelty: “accord 500 edge“, the latest addition to the“accord” range,” the company explained in a press release issued a few weeks before the event. The new CNC machining center stands out as a complete and multifunctional solution that also integrates edgebanding technology, confirming SCM’s ability to respond to increasingly advanced production needs, both for solid wood processing and in the furniture sector. Designed for medium and large-sized companies, “accord 500 edge” ensures high performance and maximum flexibility. For these features, it is particularly suitable for application areas such as contract furniture, bedrooms, marine, and caravans. The machining center is also designed for “just in time” production and integrates in a single solution all the functionalities of an advanced factory”.

Among its strengths is the H80C “Compact” edgebanding unit, equipped with multiple magazines for tools, glues, edges, and pressure elements, enabling fast and reliable automatic changeovers between different processes. Operator units with independent movements ensure high productivity even in limited spaces, while extraction systems guarantee maximum cleanliness and efficiency in all operating conditions.
The new model presented at the fair is equipped with the SCM “Maestro” software package with “Maestro active” interface and the “Maestro lab” cad/cam programming software to simplify and further improve the efficiency of production process management.
In addition, the new “accord 500 edge” is enhanced with the “Maestro lab edge” software, a cad/cam solution for the entire panel edgebanding process, allowing management of all edges and related application strategies.

Software, MES-MOM and digital services

At Xylexpo 2026, SCM will present a new development model in which competitive advantage is no longer linked to a single machine or plant, but to the ability to integrate them into connected, flexible, and sustainable production systems. In this perspective, strong focus will be placed on the SCM integrated service ecosystem, designed to deliver greater efficiency, more stable operational control, and continuous production through technologies that turn machine data into concrete support.
At the center of this modular architecture will be “WinMES“, SCM’s Manufacturing Execution System developed in partnership with Tecnest, a Group company specialized in advanced software solutions for planning, production management, and Supply Chain.
WinMES is the true “digital brain” of the factory, which by integrating and interpreting real-time data optimizes production flows, accelerates operational decisions, and increases control over the entire process. Factory intelligence will be further enhanced by Smart Spindle, the advanced sensorization system of the electrospindle, enabling predictive analysis and helping prevent unplanned machine downtime,” they explain.

Significant attention will also be given to IoT Solution, SCM’s renewed digital platform, enabling smarter, more sustainable, and data-driven processes, providing—according to SCM—access to next-generation proactive services with tangible benefits: +20 percent efficiency, +30 percent product quality, and -30 percent operating costs.
To protect the entire ecosystem, SCM will also present its Cybersecurity solution, ensuring security for data, processes, and infrastructure.
Regarding product software, Xylexpo will showcase new features of the “Maestro 3D” module for nesting machining centers, allowing recognition and creation of all machining operations with a single click, saving time during programming. This development expresses its full potential in combination with the updated “Maestro nesting” optimization algorithm, which enables importing 3D cabinet files without the need to pre-program all operations, optimizing processes and reducing waste through more compact cutting patterns.

A complete offering for every production need

For woodworking, the “blade off” system will once again take center stage at the fair, combined with SCM circular saws, designed to increase safety levels thanks to an intelligent detection system and an efficient blade exclusion mechanism.
In addition to the solutions on display, visitors will be able to explore the entire SCM offering together with its technology experts: machines and systems for every stage of the production process and for all major application sectors, from furniture to windows and doors, from timber construction to surface treatment, up to advanced woodworking.
Also in the spotlight will be solutions from SCM Engineering and integrated automation and advanced robotics systems developed by Tecno Logica, designed to support very high production capacities even in highly variable and complex environments.
