Aimsad, Mustafa Sabri Erol has been elected the new chairman
Leadership change at Aimsad, the Turkish association of manufacturers of machinery and technologies for woodworking. Mustafa Sabri Erol has been elected the new chairman of the Board of Directors, succeeding İsmet Toktaş.
Aimsad is therefore entering a new phase in its association activities. Following the departure of chairman İsmet Toktaş, the Board of Directors unanimously appointed Mustafa Sabri Erol as the organization’s new chairman, in accordance with the procedures set out in the bylaws.
For Erol, this marks a return: he is one of the association’s founders and had already served as its president in the past. His appointment is intended, it was explained, to ensure continuity in the work carried out in recent years, drawing on the experience gained and placing greater focus on the shared priorities of Turkey’s woodworking machinery industry.
As part of the internal reorganization, Cem Muzaffer Gül, previously an alternate board member, has joined the Council as a full member. Serhan Aksu, meanwhile, has been appointed vice chairman, taking over the position left vacant by Erol following his election as chairman.
Commenting on his new role, Mustafa Sabri Erol emphasized the personal and institutional significance of the appointment, recalling the path taken by Aimsad from its foundation to the present day.
According to the new chairman, over time the association has become a point of reference and a “common home” for Turkey’s woodworking technology sector. Erol also highlighted that, in a complex economic phase, unity and cooperation among companies are even more decisive factors.
Among the objectives outlined for the next term are strengthening cooperation among members, consolidating the sector’s international position, and developing projects capable of increasing companies’ competitiveness. Particular attention will be paid both to maintaining a presence in already established markets and to opening up new business opportunities abroad.
