The private equity fund Siparex Midcap 4 has acquired – together with Insec Equity Partners – a majority stake in the Corali Group, which specializes in the production of industrial machinery for the wood and cardboard sectors.
Founded in 1957 by engineer Bruno Corali and led by his daughter Graziella Corali since 1999, the Corali Group – which employs more than 100 people and generates revenues of over €25 million, with more than 70 percent abroad – operates through two complementary companies in Italy and France. Corali, headquartered in Carobbio degli Angeli (Bergamo), designs and manufactures machinery for the production of wooden pallets and cable reel flanges, and is also active in the light wooden packaging sector. Gazzella Atlantique, based in Avrillé (western France), produces machinery for heavy-duty cardboard packaging and wooden boxes. “This dual presence allows the group to serve a broad customer base across Europe, North America and Australia, ranging from pallet manufacturers to operators in the food packaging sector seeking tailor-made solutions,” the company said in a statement released alongside the announcement.

This transaction marks an important new chapter for Corali and reflects a shared ambition to further develop and strengthen the group over the long term. Since its founding, Corali has grown into a recognized company, driven by a strong entrepreneurial culture and a continuous focus on quality and customer needs. We are confident that Siparex will bring the expertise and resources needed to support the group in this next phase of development,” said Graziella Corali, Chief Executive Officer of the Corali Group.

Siparex Midcap 4, together with co-investor Insec Equity Partners, becomes the majority shareholder alongside Graziella Corali, who will retain a minority stake to ensure continuity and strategic alignment. The investment provides for a gradual leadership transition from current CEO Graziella Corali, who will remain involved as a member of the Board of Directors. The group’s development roadmap focuses on accelerating international expansion, particularly in North America, and pursuing an active buy-and-build strategy targeting complementary technologies, services and geographic areas.

Corali – said Pierre Bordeaux-Montrieux, Managing Partner, and Galeazzo Cornetto Bourlot, Investment Manager at Siparex Midcap – is a leading industrial player that combines distinctive technological expertise with a solid business model, based on high value-added integrated solutions and a significant share of recurring services. The Group benefits from a leadership position in its core markets, long-standing customer relationships and a proven ability to deliver tailor-made solutions for complex industrial applications. These strong foundations create the ideal conditions to support the Group in its next phase of international growth and expansion.”

“Corali is a leader in pallet production lines, internationally recognized for the high performance and reliability of its machinery. We are delighted to invest alongside Graziella Corali, who took over the company from her father and strengthened and established it on a global scale,” concluded Tomaso Barbini and Andrea Gianola, partners at Insec.
