Freud at Xylexpo: tools and window and door systems

01/06/2026

On the occasion of Xylexpo 2026, Freud, a company specializing in the production of tools for woodworking and advanced materials, will present an overview of its solutions for processing wood, composite materials, aluminium and PVC, with particular attention to tools for industrial applications and systems for the production of windows and doors.
The Italian company, active for over sixty years in the professional tools sector, will bring to the fair a range that includes circular saw blades, cutters for CNC machines and portable machines, cutterheads, brazed tools and systems dedicated to the window and door sector.
One of the distinctive elements of Freud’s production – as explained by the company a few weeks before the event – is the in-house production of carbide used in the cutting edges. The company manages the entire production process, from the formulation of tungsten carbide powders through to sintering, developing specific compositions according to the different applications. This approach makes it possible to optimize parameters such as wear resistance, hardness and tool toughness.

“LU5H”
Among the new products on display at Xylexpo is the new “LU5H”, circular saw blade, developed for cutting aluminium and PVC profiles. The blade has been designed with dedicated geometries and laser-cut anti-vibration slots to improve stability and cutting quality, while the ultra-thin protective coating helps increase corrosion resistance and tool life. This product is intended in particular for applications in the window and door, door and furniture components sectors.

“LU” BLADES FOR SLIDING TABLE SAWS
Also on display at Xylexpo will be a selection from the “LU” range of blades for sliding table saws, developed for processing solid wood, wood-based panels and double-sided laminated MDF.
This family of tools is designed to ensure cutting precision and finishing quality, thanks to dedicated geometries that help limit chipping even in the most demanding operations. Particular attention has also been paid to performance continuity and tool life over time.
The combination of tooth profile and carbide formulation has been developed to obtain clean, regular cuts, reducing the need for subsequent finishing operations and helping improve the overall efficiency of the production process. The “LU” range is aimed in particular at operators using sliding table saws in industrial and advanced craft environments.

WINDOW AND DOOR SYSTEMS
In the window and door sector, Freud will present at Xylexpo several solutions dedicated to the production of “CE”, certified frames, complete with tools and machining cycles.
The company develops integrated systems that include profiles, components and application solutions designed for the production of windows and doors in industrial and craft environments. New window and door systems will be presented at the fair, together with an update of the range of CNC tools used for their production.

SOLUTIONS FOR PORTABLE MACHINES
Alongside its industrial range, Freud will also present at Xylexpo a selection of circular saw blades for portable machines, developed for processing different materials. Part of the range is dedicated to battery-powered tools, with solutions designed to optimize autonomy and operating performance.
Also on display will be the new sets of brazed cutters, recently introduced to the market and available in seven assortments of 6 and 10 pieces with 8 mm shank. The sets come with new patented packaging with a quick-locking and release system for the cutter, designed to facilitate tool extraction and repositioning operations in safe conditions.
The cutters are intended for professional woodworking applications, with particular attention to finishing quality and durability over time.

FREUD AT XYLEXPO 2026
With its participation in Xylexpo 2026, Freud will present an overview of its solutions for processing wood, composite materials, aluminium and PVC, with particular attention to tools for industrial applications and systems dedicated to the window and door sector.
Among the themes at the centre of its presence at the fair will be the development of new cutting geometries, the evolution of CNC tools and the in-house production of carbide, an element that allows the company to develop dedicated formulations according to the different applications.
Participation in the event will also be an opportunity for discussion with machine manufacturers, window and door manufacturers and sector operators on requirements related to productivity, machining quality and tool life.
