José Pérez Berdud appointed new CECIMO President
José Pérez Berdud has been appointed President of CECIMO, the European association representing the machine tool and manufacturing technologies industries. His two-year mandate begins at a key moment for European manufacturing, as companies face technological change, global competition and the need to strengthen investment and industrial capacity.
With extensive experience in industrial automation, machine tools and advanced manufacturing technologies, Pérez Berdud will focus on reinforcing CECIMO’s role as a constructive voice for Europe’s advanced manufacturing sector.
His priorities include strengthening the Single Market, removing remaining barriers to industrial growth and cross-border activities, and supporting fair global competition. CECIMO will also continue working with EU institutions and national stakeholders to ensure that industrial policies translate into concrete measures for companies.
Alongside the appointment, CECIMO’s General Assembly also confirmed the chairs of its committees and statutory positions. Riccardo Rosa was reappointed Chairman of the Technical Committee, François Duval was named Chairman of the Economic Committee, and Jan Rýdl was confirmed as Treasurer.
With the new presidency, CECIMO aims to support the European manufacturing technology sector in a phase in which competitiveness, innovation and industrial policy are increasingly interconnected.
