Sicam 2026: “pragmatism and optimism”

26/10/2026

The 17th edition of SICAM, the International Exhibition of Components, Semi-finished Products and Accessories for the Furniture Industry, closed its doors just a few hours ago, opened on Tuesday 20 October. It was an event brimming with ideas, products and people: according to initial estimates released just hours after closing, the exhibition’s ten halls welcomed 24,100 trade visitors, representing 9,450 companies from 125 countries. Italy reaffirmed SICAM as a key industry event, accounting for over 59 per cent of visitors, followed by Germany, Spain, England, France, Greece, the Balkans and Eastern European countries. Looking beyond Europe, China, the United States and India topped the visitor rankings, in that order. Attendance from the Middle East was also particularly strong, despite the extremely difficult situation in the region.

The 698 exhibitors – 31.4 per cent of them from 35 countries abroad – expressed their satisfaction after presenting tens of thousands of products, ideas and innovations across the exhibition’s 19,150 square metres of net exhibition space. Their investment in simple yet exceptionally elegant, carefully designed and effective stands demonstrated the value that suppliers to the furniture industry place on SICAM.

The quality of the visitors was particularly evident: people come to SICAM for much more than a casual look around. They come to see and experience first-hand the decorative surfaces, mechanisms and solutions that will shape the furniture collections showcased at upcoming trade fairs around the world.

The exhibition provided an inspiring setting in which to gather ideas for the future, extending beyond products to include meetings and exchanges with representatives of markets interested in Italian and European offerings. All this unfolded, as mentioned, in a pleasant, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere: a true “happy place”, as many now like to call it. For four days it allowed exhibitors and visitors to step away from the pressures and challenges of the moment, bringing a much-needed sense of optimism to the entire industry and opening up fresh perspectives on the future.

The event was further enriched by a series of prestigious occasions and accompanying initiatives, including “Enjoy Pordenone with SICAM”, the programme of events around the city championed by the Municipality of Pordenone, which once again reaffirmed the close ties between SICAM and the city.

The 18th edition of SICAM will take place from 19 to 22 October 2027.
